Florham Park, N.J [August 30, 2017] – ASCO Power Technologies, manufacturer of industry-leading Avtron and Froment load banks, has released its new Sigma PC Basic load bank control system. Designed for WindowsTM PCs, laptops, and tablets, Sigma PC Basic provides key features of the firm’s standard Sigma PC load bank control software in a simpler, more cost efficient solution. It enables a single user to simultaneously monitor and control up to 42 of the firm’s Sigma 2 load banks, which range from portable resistive models to containerized resistive-inductive units.
Sigma PC Basic allows users to divide loads equally among networked load banks or to assign discrete loads to individual units in specific locations, an important capability for commissioning data centers. Load test data can be viewed in real-time on customizable graphs, and can be exported to other programs to create technical reports and compliance certificates.
Using icon-based navigation, Sigma PC Basic makes control of load banks clear and effortless. Its two main screens ensure quick program setup and swift and efficient test execution. Users can configure power source information such as capacity, frequency, and voltage to appear as percentage of load in accordance with industry protocols.
“The Sigma PC Basic offers advanced features in an exceptionally cost effective package,” says Froment Managing Director John Barratt. “The interface is user-friendly and enables precise and intuitive control. We expect very favourable feedback from the marketplace.”
