Ron Schroeder

Ron Schroeder

Director of Technology & Standards

Ronald A. Schroeder is the Director of Technology & Industry Standards for Power Switching and Controls at ASCO Power Technologies, LP. He has an AAS in Engineering from Union College in Cranford, NJ and a BS degree in Industrial Technology from Kean University in Union, NJ.

He has 48 years of experience at ASCO and his previous position was the Director of Product Management & Applications Engineering. He also had responsibilities in the power testing laboratory, applications engineering, government contract management, product management and has lead numerous project teams in the development and release of new products. He is a Life Member of the IEEE and has given multiple presentations at IEEE seminars.

He is a member of the Technical Committee for NFPA 110/111 Emergency & Standby Power Systems; NFPA 99 Correlating Committee for Health Care Facilities and the International Electrical Inspectors Association. He has also been teaching classes for 26 years on Automatic Transfer Switches at both the Basic and Advanced Rowley Power Schools administered by the Electrical Generator Society of America (EGSA) and recently served a 3 year term on the EGSA Board of Directors.

Victor Bonachea

Director of Global Product Management

Victor Bonachea is Director of Offer Management at ASCO Power Technologies. He has 9 years of tenure with ASCO, where he began as an Applications Engineer quoting, supporting, and implementing transfer switch solutions with customers and sales teams across the world. He then shifted into a Product Management path where he has been involved with product development for new switching solutions. His experience concentrates around the applications and architectures for power system/equipment control and their monitoring systems, including work on several patents.

Victor received a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and an Masters in Engineering Management with Honors from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with specializations in controls and project management, respectively.

Victor has been involved with IEEE for 11 years where he is currently a Senior Member and was awarded the 2019 PES Outstanding Engineer Award for North Jersey. Today, he continues his IEEE affiliation with the IAS & PES Societies and most recently has begun participating in updates to the P3005.4 Emergency Power Reliability Standard (previously known as the Orange Book).

Robert Debrody

Director of Applications Engineering

Robert Debrody is the Director of Applications Engineering at ASCO Power Technologies. His primary duties include understanding and developing opportunities to meet the demands of the latest customer applications and to ensure the ASCO transfer switch product line remains at the forefront of engineering and design.

Before ASCO, Robert held roles as VP of Engineering, Director of R & D and Engineering and Program Manager at various large industrial companies.

Robert has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and a master’s in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University. Robert is an IEEE member and has served on the NFPA Committee.

Kevin Ragbasingh

Product Manager

Kevin Ragbasingh is an Offer Manager at ASCO Power Technologies. Kevin’s primary duties at ASCO include product development and management of 7000 Series Medium Voltage ATS and Series 300 ATS product lines. During his 3-year tenure at ASCO, Kevin has helped successfully launched the Series 300 Quick Connect Panel products as well as Manual Transfer Switch and Manual Transfer Switch with integrated quick connects products.

Before ASCO, Kevin began his career as a design and product engineer for two electromechanical switch manufacturers. His role as an engineer involved design and prototyping of new designs, monitoring quality control processes and implementing current technologies to meet the customer’s needs. Throughout his career, Kevin has made it a priority to provide technical support for various products to both sales and the customer.

Kevin received a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering at Temple University with a concentration in power system design. Kevin is currently pursuing his MBA at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
