How to set the engine exerciser for a Series 185 ATS with acc. 105B.
The exerciser can be set using the built-in engine exerciser of the generator itself if the Series 185 has acc. 105B.
Acc. 105B is special fusing and wiring for a Briggs & Stratton generator. This is somewhat similar in acc. 105G except that this is wired to the 14A contact of the ATS mechanism instead of the NR relay of the ATS controller. The ATS will only signal the generator to start during the loss of primary/normal power or when the auxiliary contact 14A is open.
