How to read the catalog string and determine the voltage code/rating of the Legacy ASCO 940 Transfer Switch?
The guide for the catalog string of the legacy ASCO 940 Transfer switch can be found in its schematic drawing or wiring diagram.
Below is an example of the table for Catalog number identification from one of the wiring diagrams.
Below is an example of ASCO 940 Series catalog number with the voltage code inside the red rectangle:
The voltage code 9 represents 480Y/277V, 460Y/265V, 440 to 480V voltage ratings/range.
4 - 208Y/120V, 190 to 208V
6 - 240/120V Tapped DELTA, 220 to 240V
9 - 480Y/277V, 460Y/265V, 440 to 480V
G - 600Y/347V, 550 to 600V
X - OTHER VOLTAGES
To determine the exact voltage rating, refer to the voltage stated on the nameplate below the AMP rating.
