How many transfer cycles can the transfer switch endure?

UL 1008 requires that the transfer switch function as intended when subjected to extensive endurance tests. To pass, the transfer switch needs to be able to endure several thousands of transfer cycles and, depending on the switch rating, the transfer is tested with and without the rated current.

ASCO transfer switches have been tested even more rigorously than the UL 1008 endurance requirements. The following infographic shows the endurance data for the J-, H-, and G-Frames.
