Where are the generator start contacts located in a J-frame Series 300 transfer switch?
Answer: The generator / engine start contacts, designated as terminals 1, 2, and 3, are located on the following:
For OPEN TRANSITION (J3ATS) - LOWER LEFT PORTION of the transfer switch mechanism
For DELAYED TRANSITION (J3ADTS) - UPPER RIGHT PORTION of the transfer switch enclosure
Engine start contacts are NOT ON THE TERMINAL BLOCK FOUND AT THE BOTTOM OF THE GROUP G CONTROLLER.
