How do I connect the ASCO 5800 Load Management Unit to an ASCO 5210 Power Meter?
5210 Power Meter Connection (boxed in Blue):
1. Monitors generator electrical parameters using voltage sensing lines and CTs
2. Communicates real-time data back to the Load Management Unit (LMU) using 4-wire serial RS-485 connection
3. One meter is required per generator
4. Provided as loose meter for customer integration (5210) or enclosed/mounted meter (5211/5212)
Note:
For single generator systems, if no GEN circuit breaker aux contact is available, this terminal can be shorted. For dual parallel generators, these breaker contacts MUST be wired to the meters since they will determine how many generators are connected to the bus and thus the total available capacity.
