How can accessory 18Z be utilized to provide external power to the Group 5 Controller?
Acc. 18Z can be utilized to provide external power supply to Group 5 Controller by setting J5 Jumper.

To provide external power to the controller,
1. Move Jumper Block (J5) pins 1 & 3 from standard right position to pins 2 & 4 external right position

2. Connect DC Power to Terminal 1(+) & Terminal 2(-), Power Supply rating must be nominal 24VDC at 600mA
Feature 1C *Time Delay can now be extended to 60 seconds
Notes:
When the controller is powered from either the normal or emergency sources RL4 is energized which disconnects external source from controller. When both Normal and Emergency Source are lost, RL4 is deenergized which connects external source into the controller.
*Feature 1C: Delay on Normal source outage. Start on failure of Normal Source. Resets if Normal Source is accepted before expiration. Inhibits engine starting and automatic transfer until expiration.
